Dance of the Great Salt Lake Firefly

Like cinders meandering in space
searching for resting places within
the earths shadow cast on the moon
reflecting on the lake's skin.
Silhouettes surf the sunset lights
slow-dancing upon echoes
of silver ash raindrops
and cosmic dew.
Floating with Mayan stardust
in spirit flight, painting

a misted midsummer's night sky

with delicate wings unsynchronized

with the stars.
Messages sent in luciferian luminescence
offers the grace of gentle lightning and thunder
as millions of teardrop lights bath souls
entranced by a twilight horizon.
Burning circles flutter in plights of tension
creating fragile mists of rogue flames
attracting interlopers and lovers
warming their divine imaginations.
This cleansing solitude of wonder
feeds our hungry nocturnal fascinations
watching fire dance with wind and water
performing another mystery of heaven.
